Our Festive Bucket List

Now that Halloween is behind us, I'm all over the festive feels and what better way to begin Christmas posts than with a little festive bucket list? I'm so excited this year, I'm an absolute fanatic anyway but this year is my little ones very first Christmas and I cannot wait. I'm one of those people that start shopping in June, and act like a child as soon as I see anything remotely festive in the shops. Christmas is all about family so there are a few things I'd like us to do together this year, and some of these I hope will become our family traditions for years to come..

  • Go Christmas Tree picking
  • Take B to see Father Christmas
  • Make Christmas crafts
  • Go to a light switch on
  • Buy some festive candles
  • Have festive photos taken of B
  • Do a Book Advent
  • Wrap up warm and go for a Winters walk on the beach
  • Watch Christmas films (Elf, Love Actually etc)
  • Bake and decorate a Gingerbread House
  • Have a Christmas Jumper day

For us, Christmas starts on the first of December; we go and buy our tree, the decorations go up and all things festive begin. I know at the moment B doesn't understand stories but I love the idea of Book Advents, I think they're perfect for building excitement on the run up to Christmas Day and this is one of things I hope will become a tradition for us. Christmas jumpers and films are essential things to do, and I've wanted a Gingerbread house for years - this year I'm on the hunt early as they seem to sell out mega quickly. My fellow Christmas fanatics and fav blogging gals Emily, and Claire have also shared their plans for the festive season so be sure to check them both out. I'd love to know what your plans are? Do you have any Christmas traditions?

  1. Love the idea of going to a light switch on, I bet B would love it too. So many good ideas here, if we manage to cross all ours off, I'll definitely try some of these :)

  3. Firstly, I just wanted to say I came across your blog on bloglovin and I am absolutely loving it! Also I'd love to take a winter walk on the beach but there aren't any near me...perhaps I'll take a drive somewhere. Pretty intrigued by your candy cane scented candle too :) x
